Privacy Policy

FameSim ("we", "us") is an iOS live-stream simulator published by Appnor. This policy describes what data we handle, why, and what we never touch. We tried to write it in plain language, because privacy policies are worthless when nobody reads them.

1. The short version

  • FameSim simulates a live stream. You are not broadcasting to real people. All viewers and comments are AI-generated.
  • Your camera preview runs locally on your device. We do not record, stream, or upload your video or photos.
  • We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or social accounts. There is no account to sign up for.
  • To generate AI viewer comments, we send a short text transcript of what you say, audio energy level, and your chosen mode to our AI provider. We never send video, photos, or personal identifiers.

2. What FameSim collects on your device

  • Camera feed — processed entirely on your device for AR filters and preview. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Microphone audio — converted locally to a short text transcript and an energy level. Raw audio is not uploaded or stored.
  • Preferences & progress — your chosen handle, presets, level, and fame points are stored locally. If you enable Cloud Preset Sync (Pro), presets are synced through Apple iCloud under your Apple ID — not through us.
  • Photo library — accessed only if you explicitly save a clip. Saved clips go to your library, not to us.

3. What we send to external services

  • AI comment generation. A request containing: your chosen username, platform style, personality mode, a short transcript of recent speech, audio energy level, simulated viewer count, and an anonymous install ID. This request is relayed through our edge proxy to Anthropic (Claude API). The transcript is used only to generate the reply and is not used for advertising or model training on our behalf.
  • In-app purchases. Handled by Apple. We receive a signed receipt to verify Pro status. We do not see your payment details.
  • Crash and performance diagnostics. Aggregated, anonymized device and crash data via Apple's standard reporting (only if you've enabled sharing in iOS Settings).

4. What we do NOT collect

  • Your real name, email, or phone number
  • Your contacts, calendar, or location
  • Your social media accounts or followers
  • Camera video, photos, or raw microphone audio
  • Identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking

5. Children

FameSim is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will investigate.

6. Data retention

On-device data (presets, level, history) stays on your device until you delete the app or reset it from Settings. AI requests are not associated with an identity and are retained only briefly by the proxy for rate-limiting and abuse-prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

Because we don't store personal information tied to an identity, there is no account-level deletion needed. You can erase all FameSim data by deleting the app from your device. For questions under GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy laws, email us — we'll respond.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app.
