Privacy Policy

FameSim ("we", "us") is an iOS live-stream simulator published by Appnor. This policy describes what data we handle, why, and what we never touch. We tried to write it in plain language, because privacy policies are worthless when nobody reads them.

1. The short version

  • FameSim simulates a live stream. You are not broadcasting to real people. All viewers and comments are AI-generated.
  • Your camera preview runs locally on your device. We do not record, stream, or upload your video or photos.
  • You can continue as a guest, or optionally sign in with Apple, Google, or email through Firebase Authentication.
  • Contextual AI is optional. Before it is used, you choose whether the listed text and simulation context may be sent through Appnor's Cloudflare proxy to Anthropic. The app continues with local comments if you decline.

2. What FameSim collects on your device

  • Camera feed — processed entirely on your device for AR filters and preview. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Microphone audio — converted locally to a short text transcript and an energy level. Raw audio is not uploaded or stored.
  • Preferences & progress — your chosen handle, presets, level, quests, FameCoins, and fame points are stored locally.
  • Photo library — accessed only if you explicitly save a clip. Saved clips go to your library, not to us.

3. What we send to external services

  • Optional AI comment generation. After you explicitly allow it, a request may contain your chosen in-app username, platform style, personality mode, a short on-device transcript, audio energy, simulated viewer count, and simulated gift/event context. It travels through Appnor's Cloudflare Worker to Anthropic. Camera video and raw audio are never sent.
  • Security and access checks. Apple's App Attest key and signed StoreKit transaction data are verified by the proxy. Short-lived pseudonymous logs may include a hashed device actor, random request ID, model, timing, token counts, and error status, but not stored transcript content.
  • In-app purchases. Handled by Apple. We receive Apple-signed transaction information to verify Pro or Max access. We do not see payment-card details.
  • Account sign-in. Firebase Authentication stores an account identifier and, depending on your choice, email, display name, and sign-in provider. Google and Apple process their own sign-in data under their policies.
  • Simulated fan avatars. Avatar image requests to RandomUser may expose an IP address and standard HTTPS request information to that service. These requests are not linked to your FameSim account by us.

4. What we do NOT collect

  • Your contacts, calendar, or location
  • Your social media accounts or followers
  • Camera video, photos, or raw microphone audio
  • Identifiers for advertising or cross-app tracking

5. Children

FameSim is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will investigate.

6. Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete it, delete your account, or remove the app. Transcript content is used for the immediate AI response and is not stored in our technical logs. Pseudonymous technical logs may be kept for up to 7 days. App Attest public keys and counters may remain for the installation lifetime so security checks continue to work. Firebase account data remains until the account is deleted, subject to legal or security retention requirements.

7. Your rights

Settings → Privacy & Data lets you export your data and withdraw contextual AI permission. Settings → Delete Account & Data deletes local data and asks Firebase Authentication to delete the signed-in account. Deleting an account does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage it separately in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. For GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy requests, contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app.
